For the first time in 18 months of blogging, somebody tagged me. Thank you, Xoloitzquintle. It is an honor to be tagged.
I already was egotistical enough to write 100 things about myself, so this should be a piece of cake:
Seven things I plan to do before I die:
1. Indulge in my urge to reproduce and have a baby
2. Live at least 2 years on every continent (North America and Africa being already taken care of, that leaves Europe, Asia, the Latin Americas and Australia.)
3. Have a UN passport
4. Write one good article relating to international current events that will be published by a serious newspaper
5. Make a difference for one child in the world
6. Show Dave that I love him, and if possible, live with him for a good long while (whether N.1 is fulfilled or not)
7. Spend time to get to know my friends again.
Seven things I can do:
1. Read Zola in French
2. Write blog comments in very bad Spanish
3. Speak Woloff (ok, just a little bit. How much Woloff do you know anyway?)
4. Count to 100 in German
5. Play Beethoven (but on a real-size piano)
6. Sing Scarlatti
7. Set up a home based network
Seven things I can't do:
1. change a spare tire
2. bungie jump, or stand at the edge of a cliff, or anywhere that's very high for that matter
3. run for more than 5 minutes
4. eat raw meat
5. touch snakes (or even stay in their vicinity for that matter)
6. listen to racist or hateful discourse and stay silent
7. prepare a full course meal only for myself
Seven things that attract me to another person:
1. honesty.
2. curiosity (for ex.: how was it in South Africa? How are the people, and the food, and they culture?)
3. intelligence
4. culture (for ex.: to know what Apartheid is)
5. humility (for ex.: to be willing to learn)
6. generosity (for ex.: to dedicate time to help people struggling with HIV-AIDS )
7. sense of humor (though awful things are going on in the world, we should take a moment and laugh about how ridiculous we can be.)
Seven things I say most often:
1. Crap ! (as in Crap! I forgot to...)
2. Oh well...
3. Anyway...
4. What ever!
5. Hmfff (or Arrf, grmmf, or any other unintelligible sound a beaver makes in the morning)
6. I miss you (my mum, my friends, my boyfriend)
7. I love you (several times a day to the same blessed individual)
Seven people to do this little blogger game:
1. Liquidplastic
2. 007 in africa
3. Siti
4. Anya
5. Salt Water
6. Saurkraut
7. Qalamana
The Beaver

Hello. I saw your comment on my blog and I just wanted to say thanks! I really like your list, I think we have a lot in common. Anyway, I'll keep my blog updated regarding my life and Peace Corps application process. I also really hope that I can keep it up while I'm in Africa. I like your blog, so I'll be back. Good luck with everything!
I can't recall how I found your blog but I love it. I'm a Zulu South African living in the U.S. My husband and I are planning on moving to South Africa in 5 years. We were just there last month. I'll be visiting your blog more often.
Oh wow! You tagged me, and I am honored. Give me a minute and I will follow suit.
I'm honored! I will reply tomorrow. But my, you're an ambitious little Beaver, aren't you???
Ok, just give me some time to reply tomorrow: I'm a bit busy today since I'm having a party chez moi to celebrate 2006.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Wow Beav, it's always fun to visit your blog. I just got back from a month of chasing the dollar on the open road. Very Glad and Happy to see Dave is still in the picture. After 21+ years I still love the line in Fiddler on the Roof where Octavia asks "Ulga, do you love me". My number one nightmare would be after twenty five years of my wife getting to know me she said "NO". Way to go, Dave. What about Antarctica? The book Time on Ice is a great way to visit. I love your "Can do" list. I'm sure I speak for many of your blog friends when I say we would love to hear you sing "Scarlatti". Please make our dreams come true and post an Audio Blog of this. You could also post advise on how to make it work once it is posted for us fumblers who can post but not play. As for the "Full Course Meal For One", try my special. Brown in a large pan ones favorite meat (cheep ground chicken is good, preferably from a plastic tube) then add a can of soup, a can of French-cut (a must) green beans, a can of Rosita's refried beans and some milk or silk. This then is spooned over fresh hot biscuits or cheese on buttered bread and is Guaranteed to please. Thanks for your blog. It makes me happy every time I visit. Way to go, Dave. Oh, I almost forgot. The world has enough kids in it. Mom's are great and I hope your wish comes true, but I have had great fun being a stepfather and a good neighbor to kids that are already here. I take all the kids on the street to the circus that comes through our town once a year. It is a blast and the parents don't mind because circus's are not cheap anymore. Of course, baby beavers are probably pretty cute. Thanks again, Oh Great One!!! and Happy New Year.
OK, Beav! I did it!
Since I don't have a blog (yet) I may write here my answers, ain't?
Seven things I plan to do before I die (not neccessarily in this order...):
1. Visit, at least, one country of each continent
2. Having a baby (I don't mind being a single mum)
3. Going to China (maybe this year!) and Nepal-Tibet
4. Go diving
5. Follow a photography (one of my hobbys) course to improve my poor skills
6. Learn more about myself
7. Live in an Asian country (at least one year) since I've already been in Africa (my other "must" before I die)

3. Dance flamenco, salsa and reaggeton
4. Write amusing short-stories
5. Make people feel as enthisiastic and optimistic as I do
6. Simultaneous interpreting
7. Assamble Ikea's furniture at home, on my own (quite proud about it since I'm a bit clumpsy)
Seven things I can't do (only seven???):
1. Accountability (my nightmare during my MSc,)though I'm pretty good in managing my monthly income
2. Being resentfull: revange is useless!!!
3. Jogging/running: the only sport I HATE it since grammar school...
4.Speaking a foreign language without my terribly hard Spanish accent...
5.Stand unfaithfulness and mistreatment
6. Being with people that urge me to do things (except my boss at the office): I have my own pace, sometimes fast sometimes slow...
7. Being absolutely tidy: I'm my own tidiness and it works perfectly :)
Seven things that attract me to another person:
1. wittiness
2. optimism and positive thinking
3. generosity and liability
4. good sense of humor, sometimes a bit acid/ironic
5. flexibility, tolerance and respect for others
6. a pinch of "madness" and improvisation
7. willingness to learn new things

5. Carola
6. Isa
7. Plácida-yéyé
Well,I did it, girl!
Juliana, thanks for dropping by :) you are always welcome at the Beaver's :)
Linda, Sawubona - Kunjanie? Glad to hear from you ! Keep us posted on your progress, South Africa is a beautiful and evanescent country.
LP, I loved your reply :) but you know that....
Saur, thanks for playing along :) It's always a pleasure to have you here :) Yes, I'm ambitious. This way, I'm sure to get SOMEthing done ;)
Qalamana, muchas gracias ! How are your friends going to play the game? Happy new year to you too !
By the way, I love your photo-taking :)... Hmmm I love a pinch of madness too :)
Salt Water, I didn't consider Antartica because there are no people there (right?), and living 2 years in the freezer of the planet, moreover a desert, empty and solitary freezer, does not seem very appealing to me.
I will try to record and put some scarlatti online for you, Salt Water... Just that I have a *cough* right now...
I agree with you, though, other people's children do bring me a lot of joy. But, selfishly, I want the experience of pregnancy to be known to me.... That doesn't mean I wouldn't adopt though. Plenty of kids out there who need parents, you know!
