Magneto & Mystique

Last night, I danced with Magneto. The sweet, tall, blond swedish engineer twirled me around on the dance floor and held me tight. I rested my head on his chest, closed my eyes, took in the sweet smell of his body. I closed my eyes and let him take me to another world. For a short while that felt like forever, he lead me to another plane, where we were the only 2 beings in the world.

He kissed my cheek tenderly and left without trying to get to my bed, but promising to see me again.

I leave Haiti in 4 days. It's always about terrible timing. I will nevertheless cherich this moment. It was magical in many, many ways. Sometimes, a short moment of magic is all one needs.

Update: I was at the mountain cottage today - and bumped into him... on a double date. Turns out - the guy is charming to everyone - and potentially in a relationship.

Last night, I felt special. Today, I feel ordinary, and kind of like a fool for maybe seeing something that wasn't there. I mean - I get VERY little male attention usually, after all.

P.S. Today is Amias' birthday. Do pop in by her blog (although she is now retired) and enjoy her beautiful writing. And why not leave her a comment wishing her a happy day while you're there?

I've always wonder why all handsome guys are f*#$ women-eateres (do you say this in English? Anyway I guess you'll undestand)...
Well, at least you danced with him :)

Besos!

MEN!!! Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. The men of my experience have been varied, but the pretty boys are always the players (because they can be, I guess!) Still, they're the ones to have fun with (while it lasts!) Ideally, we'd all like the loyal, tall, dark and handsome guy. Too bad they're in short-supply.

it was still a magical moment, and you still enjoyed the dance and he had a sweet smell :) You will enjoy many more magical moments for sure, with other sweet, tall and maybe not all blond men.
One more month and you will be home and take a break from this mad life of yours!!!
Take care

The problem is not just with men. The problem is age old. How does one enjoy or value something without consuming it, controlling it, or demanding it be useful to us? Even the environment is hard to value without seeing what it can do for us. I heard this problem posed by a poet (I think it was Robert Service): "I heard an old religious man, but yest er night declare, that he had found a verse to prove, that only God my dear, can love you for yourself alone, and not your yellow hair."

If this is of no value as advise, remember he did not buy you a strawberry margarita, so he was not a perfect guy.

Honey, you're anything but ordinary. Don't worry, un de perdu, dix de retrouvés. ça marche à tous les coups.

Sometimes all we need is a little attention. Just to feel special for a while. No point in feeling daft - just blame it all on something in the caribbean air!

(Alternatively, go to a voodoo priest and get them to sort him out...!)

Guys, you are all right, in a way.

What truely matters is that I enjoyed dancing with him and had a good moment - no matter how short.

Cheers to you,
