B.O.R.E.D.

Sunday night and nothing to do. A normal situation for me, really, but tonight I feel unable to pretend it's all right, unable to keep looking like everything is handy-dandy.

Tonight would have been a good night to go out and grab some beers and hang out with friends, discover some weird new food, or just walk randomly in the streets of Montreal.

But the truth is, I'm in Monrovia, and I'm past my curfew. The truth is, my only source of entertainment and social interaction is my coworker, with whom I have now been 24/7 for the last 3 weeks. I need a breather. I need to see new people.

I've checked, read, and commented on all my favorite blogs. I've answered all my emails. I watched 2 movies on my computer. Now, I'm blogging about my boredom.

I need to see my friends. I need to hang loose. I need to have fun.

I haven't laughed full-heartedly for a week. This isn't me. I guess I must be depressed.

Oh well. I guess tonight, my life sucks !

Well, I must say, you look absolutely ravishing. Come to New Mexico and iI'll buy you that beer. i don't think geography has much to do with it my dear Beaver, I loathe Sundays. They were always sad times for me when I was growing up. My dad worked out of town and Sundays marked the ritual where we'd prepare his suitcase and he'd leave right around sundown.

I am glad you are still blogging. I is great to see you in all your splendor!

You poor baby. I wish I was there! We could talk about anything, or nothing, or play board (or is it "bored"?) games. Of course I only watch TV once or twice a week and the only show I watch is Grey's Anatomy, which is on Sunday nights. So we'd have to pipe it in via the internet or something! ;o)

how do you say smile en francais?

would the local government let you walk outside and scream silly songs in french? that always works for me...

Voice, it's great to have you back. I must say, you have been dearly missed by your blog friends. For me, Sundays were happy times back home. They were family night. I guess that's why it's so depressing now that I'm away.

I'll be spending some time in the states this fall, though I do not know where yet. If I'm in the neighbourhood, I'll make sure to let you know !

Thanks for the compliment. Next time, I'll put up a happier pic !

Saur, oh board games! I miss board games! It'd be great to hang out some time. I'll actually be in FL in April, only for an over-night - but I'll be in Miami - I think that's far from Tampa!

Uncle Joe, welcome to Beaver Land! I'm actually sure I'd get in trouble with the locals if I made a racket in the street. I stand out a lot as it is (I'm ghostly, I swear). Though singing in French would probably make me feel better.

Smile, en francais, is "Souris" (Sew-ree) for the verb and "sourire" for the noun (sew-rear).

Cheers,

Beav'

Wow, I was going to write what 007 said word for word. CRAZY.

Yeah, I know how you feel. Help, I'm stuck in the hospital for 12 hours and I'm bored!

007s',

I KNOW you're sisters. Yet, you sometimes freak me out.

Miss U both lots.

Vic,

Thanks for reminding me that boredom is universal. (I think D. and I had this conversation on her blog some months ago, actually :o)

What are you doing in the hospital (AGAIN?) anyway?
